  2. If you see a flower you can't identify and lets say it is yellow and its September. You can do a search for yellow and September. You can then see all the flowers I have posted that match your search. there are 138 post of yellow flowers on this blog. Also, if you click on the "My Favorite Wildflower Publications" tab you can see the books that I use for identification. I would suggest "Wildflowers of Tennessee the Ohio Valley and the Southern Appalachians" put out by the Native Plant Society for your first book.
